This park has an astounding 72-acre lake where you can partake in activities like fishing, boating, swimming and much more. You can also indulge in activities like bird watching, and could be lucky enough to come across the super rare golden-cheeked warbler. Other activities to enjoy include picnicking, bicycling and camping.

The state park has a hiking trail that surrounds Lake Meridian while featuring fossils and limestone outcroppings. There is aquatic vegetation and a scenic overlook to behold and marvel at.

Apart from comfortable campsites for RVs and tents, the park has a cabin, screened shelters and group facilities.

This park is a favorite amongst regular camp goers and is accommodating to those with a family. It is perfect during the summers since the lake is refreshing and cool.

If you like, you can rent paddleboats, canoes, and kayaks from the camp store. If not, you can go fishing, biking, hiking or paddling instead. For those that like to explore, they can visit The Devils Watering Hole and its falls for an experience of a lifetime. However, it is worth noting there is no lifeguard on duty, so you will need to keep a close eye on the kids.

The park has RV and tent camping along with cabins. It is better suited for families that want more shade and privacy.

Be it a day or over the weekend, visit Cedar Hill State Park to relax and unwind. If you want more, you can enjoy activities like camping, picnicking, and hiking.

The park is located on Joe Pool Lake’s shore, which means you can also enjoy activities like paddling, swimming or fishing.

For family reunions, you can rent the picnic pavilion for the best possible experience. The camp boasts 350 campsites, with restrooms and hot showers. Many sites are in fact ADA-accessible. And when the trails are open, you can hike to primitive campsites to be closer to Mother Nature.

This park is all about a fishing adventure unlike any other. It has one of the finest fishing docks and has RV camping, tent camping, and screen shelters. Most sites have picnic tables that are covered while visitors can rent standup paddleboats or kayaks for an adventure. As for the kids, there are activities for them too; like hiking, wildlife watching, biking or geocaching.

The park was built in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps and is located in the Davy Crockett National Forest. The park has an enormous lake for fishing and swimming, and enough space to go tent or RV camping. It has 20 miles of hiking trails and has a playground for the little ones too. Since the park has towering pines, there is enough shade to make it worth visiting with the family during the summers.

This park is perfect for large family reunions. Its CCC picnic pavilion is available for rent and is encircled by easily accessible camping sites and its RV camping loop. The camping loops are small, but they are perfect for small children that wish to explore, all the while remaining within sight.

The Buescher State Park has canoes and kayaks available for rent, which of course can be taken out to the lake for fishing, or just to relax. For families that just want to have a swim, they simply need to drive to the Bastrop State Park, for access to its giant swimming pool.
