On the western coasts you will find immense cliffs that will dwarf the biggest cruise ships. It is wet and wild here and really helps you to appreciate the power of nature. Denmark is a complete contrast, situated in the south of Scandinavia and full of rolling fields and woods. This is a place where anyone can cycle and see everything with very little exertion.

The weather, the people, the cities

Summer is short but made up of very long days with up to 18 hours of sunlight.  This is a time where every part of the country explodes with celebrations. The locals will be beach-combing, into water sports and some of the best fishing in the world. This is an excellent time of the year to go exploring. Experience the remote coasts or sleepy little islands, try mountain biking or just hiking over the mountains. Outdoor fun is the name of the game.

Scandinavian towns tend to be small and incredibly beautiful but this shouldn’t stop you visiting them! The capital cities of each of the countries have their own stories to tell. Stockholm is well known for its grand Venetian charms with many canals and islands. Copenhagen is the place for sophistication and where the finest meals can be enjoyed.
