Looking for a great experience with your kids to do indoors this winter? A must see is Discover The Dinosaurs a traveling exhibit and entertainment event that is visiting cities across the United States.
Discover The Dinosaurs is a large exhibit that encompasses 8-10 elaborate scenes of dinosaurs from different periods of prehistoric times. These dinosaurs move, have sound, and you and your kids will be amazed at what you see. The experience starts with a scavenger hunt that adds to the learning experience. Once you are finished viewing all of the dinosaurs, take a try at digging up some dinosaur fossils.
There is a Dino Theater showing educational movies, a Dino Den for kids to run around and sit on different dinosaurs, Dinosaur rides, Inflatable dinosaur jump, slide, and a maze to play in. They offer gem and fossil panning and mining, as well as face painting. A face painting company, The Cheeky Chipmunk NYC (www.thecheekychipmunk.com) did an amazing job painting a T-Rex on my son’s face. I would highly recommend them and the young women that did his painting was amazing with him. There is so much dinosaur fun to be had.
This is a moving exhibit that sets up in a city for 3 days at a time. The cost is pricey at $25.00 per adult, $23.00 per child for the exhibit only and $30.00 for the exhibit-plus (this includes the unlimited dinosaur rides, mini golf and inflatables). Children under 2 years old are free. The gem mining and panning, as well as the face painting are additional costs. If you check their website they do offer some discounted tickets, but they are limited.
My son loves dinosaurs and he was in all his glory at this event, there is so much to do and they really make it so fun for the whole family. When we were leaving my son was asking when we could go again. Check the website to see when the Dinosaurs will be visiting your city, it is really worth the trip back into prehistoric time.
