Best Places To Celebrate New Years Eve

It’s that time of year again – time to make some New Year’s resolutions, with the hopes of keeping them! We’re sharing some of our favorite New Year’s Eve celebrations and traditions that will have you looking forward to 2015.

Atlanta, Georgia

The self proclaimed “largest New Year’s Eve Celebration in the Southeast,” the Atlanta Peach Drop is a great way to celebrate the turning of the calendar. A 16-hour long day spanning from 11:00 a.m. on New Year’s Eve to 4:00 a.m. on New Year’s Day, there is something for everyone. With over 25 musical performances on three stages Atlanta’s Peach Drop is an event to remember.  Watch at midnight as an 800-pound peach descends to ring in the New Year followed by fireworks and confetti.

Where To Stay: Just minutes away, The University Inn at Emory  is a low-key and relaxing respite after watching the peach drop. With recently renovated rooms, this family-owned inn is the perfect way to recharge for whatever next year may bring.

Nashville, TN

The Bash on Broadway may be a recent event in the Music City, but do they know how to throw a party. With 5 1/2 hours of music headlined by Lady Antebellum and featuring Gavin Degraw and the Apache Relay, this free street party and concert has plenty going for it. In true Music City style, a 15-foot tall red music note is lowered 115 feet and triggers a firework display and confetti cannons.

Where To Stay: Sitting on a 100-acre estate, The Manor at Twin Oaks Bed and Breakfast offers simple elegance in luxurious accommodations. With antique furnishings and tall windows boasting breathtaking views, enjoy the rustic feel and southern hospitality that this inn has to offer.

New Orleans , LA

Celebrate New Years the Cajun way in New Orleans Jackson Square. The Crescent City Countdown includes a 15-minute firework display, as well as a countdown New Orleans style that includes a fleur-de-lis drop. Continue on down to Bourbon Street for some late night fun at the lively bars and nightclubs.

Where To Stay: Whether you are looking for an intimate bedroom or a large suite, The Sully Mansion Bed & Breakfast Inn () offers luxury lodging. Located in the lush Garden District and featuring a wraparound porch, this historic inn has an old town feel with modern-day amenities.

New York City, NY

Although the idea might be played out, New York City will never be outdone when it comes to celebrating New Years Eve. Here you can be right in the excitement of Times Square, with the biggest musical guests, including Taylor Swift, and the classic ball drop followed by the confetti for the quintessential New Year’s Celebration. Another option for you is to bypass the commotion at one of the many restaurants overlooking Times Square which offer special packages. No matter what you chose there is no shortage of ways to make memories in the Big Apple and ring in 2015 in style.

Where To Stay: The 1871 House is a genuine brownstone located in the heart of the city in the prestigious Upper Eastside. Standing five stories tall, The 1871 House includes all of the big city bustle in an elegant suburban setting.
