Make the most of your end-of-year holidays and spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve abroad. As well as the big city celebrations around the world, some hostels have also arranged parties on-site to create a friendly and festive atmosphere. Party where you’re sleeping and there will be no expensive taxis home or late night waits for the bus.

New York
NY Hostel InternationalThe managers of New York HI love Christmas and New Years, they say it’s the best time of the year to enjoy the city. They put on three festive activities a day for guests from mid-December to early January, including guided tours of the New York illuminations, trips to enjoy the Christmas carols at the Harlem Gospel Church and welcome parties with free cocktails. They’ll also help you on your mission to spend New Year in Times Square or in a nightclub with your fellow travellers.
