American Airlines and JetBlue have begun an interline partnership which means that you will be able to change planes between the two carriers with ease.  Fly from a west coast city to New York or Boston on JetBLue and connect easily for international flights on American.  It also means to me that if a flight on one airline is canceled, you may have a better chance that the other airline will accept your ticket for transit.  BUT the most significant benefit for most travelers is that you can now earn frequent flyer points on either airline – fly AA pledge miles to your JetBlue account or fly JetBlue and pledge your miles to American.  Visit either airline’s website for all the details.
