This is for all you ‘no guts, no glory’ thrill seekers – Colorado has the newest and most extreme zip line adventure you can imagine!  The Glenwood Canyon Resort in Colorado has just completed construction of the first and only zip line to span the Colorado river. Beginning this weekend (5/8/10) locals will be the first adventurers invited to try out the new Glenwood Canyon Zipline.  Three separate zip lines have been anchored onto 50 foot poles embedded on opposite sides of the canyon.  The zip cables stretch 350 feet across the divide, promising an adrenaline filled swoosh across the raging Colorado river.  Once on the opposite landing platform, adventurers will traverse a suspension bridge bringing them to the return zip line and an encore experience of flying across Glenwood Canyon.  The zipline adventure will be open to thrill lovers of all ages as long as they are at least 48 inches tall, can fit into the harness, and are in good health.

If zip lining is not your thing, you’ll still find plenty of outdoor activities to entertain you at Glenwood Canyon Resort.  They have complete camping and RV facilities, offer white water rafting, an elevated challenge course, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, fishing, recreational trails and lots more.  Glenwood Canyon is about a 4 hour drive west of Denver, at exit 119 off Interstate 70.

You’ll definitely want to bring ALL the dare devils in your family to this beautiful and action packed vacation spot.  And then you too can say, ‘Oh sure you climbed Mt. Everest, but have you crossed the Colorado River on a cable???
