Just a quick post to say we’ve arrived at Cat Island in the Out Islands of the Bahamas – piece of cake.  A quick non-stop flight to Nassau on JetBlue ($104 each way) and then Tony the owner of Fernandez Bay Village ‘picked us up’ in his pvt plane for the half hour flight to Cat Island.   Super!  Or you can hop a flight from Nassau on Cat Island Air for $80 each way.  OR fly over from Ft. Lauderdale.

In a word this place is Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!  Friendly, private, beach cottage chic, with the most amazing turquoise bay and a dramatic 1 mile sweep of golden sand beach – perfection.  And there are no cats on Cat Island…. it was named after a pirate (of course), Captain Catt.

More later – we’re off to explore.  – Susan
