For a full week from November 28 to December 6, 2009, the 10th annual Pirates in Paradise Festival will turn Key West into a stronghold for legendary buccaneers. Festivities include sunset pirate cruises aboard Tall Ship schooners, swashbuckling costumed soirees, a living history encampment at historical Fort Taylor State Park, a Theives Market with maritime ‘treasures’, the National Walk The Plank Championships, and a re-creation of the trial of notorious female pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Read.
