Aquarium SleepoverHave you ever heard a lion snore, or wandered among sleeping dinosaurs? A new trend has taken hold in museums, zoos and aquariums across the United States – party sleepovers, aimed at fun and learning for the whole family. Just take a look at this picture from the Tennessee Aquarium to see how enchanting the prospect of sleeping with the fish can be.

Imaginative sleepover programs will have your youngsters wide eyed with wonder as they spend time cuddled up close to amazing animals and exhibits. Most programs are geared to elementary school aged children and offer opportunities for one-of-a-kind birthday parties, Scouting group adventures and most memorable family excursions. Venues range from Natural History Museums offering nocturnal adventures roaming through ancient civilizations; zoos where you can pitch a tent and stretch out close to your favorite animal friends, aquariums where you can finally find out whether sharks close their eyes when they sleep, or take the plunge aboard a real Navy submarine. There’s even a museum in Worcester Massachusetts where kids can don a knight’s armor and be Lord of the realm for the night! Just imagine what all these fun folks have planned for Halloween!! Take a look below at a sampling of the most enchanting sleepover programs:
