Normandy Memorial CenterThe next time you’re headed to England or France, make it a point to set aside a day to visit the new Normandy American Military Cemetery Visitor’s Center. There is no charge to visit this $30 million dollar Visitor’s Center which opened in June 2007. The impressive grounds and exhibits include artifacts, films, photographs and interactive displays which detail personal stories of the WWII Allied Forces. The incredibly dramatic memorial overlooks Omaha Beach and is located in Colleville-sur-Mer which is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Paris.

If Europe is not in your date book this year, take a moment of two to click on the Memorial’s website and watch the two very moving videos. So that we never forget the courageous American sons and daughters and all they did in Normandy, France on June 6, 1944.
