Great Google Travel Tricks

Google is amazing! Did you know you can punch the travel info you need right into the Google search box? For instance enter “AA123″ and get your American Airline’s flight status. Give these a try:

  • Weather London = local weather
  • SFO Airport = airport conditions
  • AA123 = flight status
  • 100 USD in Euros = currency conversion
  • 60 Celsius in Fahrenheit = temperature conversion
  • 6 Feet in Meters = measurement conversion
  • 10 Miles in Kilometers = distance conversion
  • 60 MPH in KPH = driving speed conversion
  • Name + City, State (or zip) to get a phone number
  • Pizza + Zip Code Find the nearest Pizza joint
  • Tracking Number For USPS, UPS, Fed Ex Package Tracking
  • Quick Spell Check – Enter word and get did you mean ..?

OR – Text Message from your phone!
Text message Google (466453) with the airline name (or abbreviation) and flight number to get flight status. The service is free and covers flights operating in the US.
Need airline assistance? Text message airline name or code and receive the airline’s phone number.

    Another G-shortcut – You can also simply type a 3 digit area code and immediately see what city it is, like type “312″ and you will see it is Chicago.
